Apply here: We are seeking an IT Support Specialist with Level 2-3 experience to join our dynamic IT team. This role will involve handling both Level 1 and Level 2-3 support tasks, providing comprehensive technical assistance across our server infrastructure, network systems, and end-user devices. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Windows Server platforms, Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, and Intune management, along with knowledge of Linux systems. The ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently while providing high-level customer service will be key to success in this position. This role is not only technical but also requires a personable approach to effectively communicate and solve problems for a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  1. Server and Network Support: Manage and troubleshoot issues across Windows Server environments, including Active Directory and Group Policy management. Conduct network troubleshooting and manage Hyper-V infrastructures.
  2. Security and Compliance: Provide additional support when required with the security team to identify and respond to potential security incidents, ensuring the integrity and security of server and network operations.
  3. End-User Support: Provide expert troubleshooting for workstation issues, including hardware and software problems. Support Windows desktop environments and handle routine maintenance tasks.
  4. Modern Workplace Management: Administer and optimise cloud-based environments using Microsoft Azure and Intune. Implement policies and procedures to enhance the security and efficiency of cloud applications and services.
  5. Automation and Scripting: Utilise PowerShell and other scripting languages to automate tasks and improve system processes, contributing to the overall efficiency of the IT department.
  6. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of all IT systems, changes, and user guides. Prepare detailed reports on IT infrastructure status and incident resolutions.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 2-3 years' experience with Networks and Server administration is required.
  2. Advanced IT Knowledge: Strong understanding of all Windows Server platforms, Active Directory configurations, and Group Policy management.
  3. Experience with Hyper-V or VMware: Managing Hyper-V or VMware vSphere environments.
  4. Troubleshooting Skills: Proven ability to troubleshoot complex workstation and server issues.
  5. Cloud and Network Expertise: Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and basic network troubleshooting skills.
  6. Willing to assist with technical projects when required.

Desirable:

  1. Knowledge of Linux systems environments and network troubleshooting.
  2. Experience in a customer-facing IT support role.
  3. Remote Management and Monitoring (RMM) applications.

Software:

  1. Proficient in Microsoft Azure, Linux, Intune, Hyper-V, VMware vSphere and Windows Server environments.
  2. Familiar with Remote monitoring and management (RMM), PowerShell scripting, and automation platforms.

Education:

  1. A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred.
  2. Relevant certifications in Windows Server, Microsoft Azure, Hyper-V, VMware, Linux are highly valued.
