About the role Position: Senior Mechanical Engineer Location: South Africa Role Overview: You will be responsible for applying your extensive mining experience to complex projects, ensuring excellence at every stage—from scoping to feasibility and mine site assessments. Ensuring efficient and effective delivery of projects, including proper risk and quality management throughout. This includes developing detailed technical reports for key clients at all project phases. Additionally, you will maintain, build, and expand client relationships to support successful project outcomes and contribute to business development objectives. Key Responsibilities:

1. Design mechanical systems and components for mining operations.
2. Perform engineering calculations and analyses.
3. Lead large and complex projects as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, including scoping, pre-feasibility, and feasibility studies.
4. Prepare and review engineering drawings and specifications.
5. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
6. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
7. Participate in project meetings and client presentations.
8. Provide technical guidance and support.
9. Uphold Occupational Health and Safety standards across all projects.
10. Contribute to the management and growth of AMC as a business.
