A leading climate change solutions company is seeking an Energy Engineer to join the team. The company helps businesses and large organisations reduce their carbon footprint and improves their overall environmental performance. Locations: Limerick/Munster, Dublin, Cork Objectives:
- Conduct industrial energy audits and offer expert guidance to large industry clients to help them reduce energy costs and carbon emissions.
- Lead the implementation of Energy and Carbon Management programs within large businesses, focusing on technical and program management aspects to achieve cost, energy, and carbon savings while enhancing overall operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with the broader Climeaction consulting team to support comprehensive supply chain decarbonization for major industrial clients.
- Contribute to the expansion of our Large Industrial decarbonization services in Ireland.
- Utilize the company's internal expertise and that of our external partners to deliver comprehensive decarbonization solutions for large industrial manufacturing clients.
- Visit large industrial manufacturing sites weekly to oversee their programs from a technical and performance management standpoint.
- Perform thorough energy and climate action audits for client businesses.
- Conduct detailed assessments of energy performance across utility systems and manufacturing processes.
- Carry out Energy Efficient Design reviews.
- Execute Measurement & Verification exercises in accordance with IPMVP standards.
- Develop statistical models to identify opportunities for carbon and cost reductions.
- Collaborate with company directors and consulting teams to develop new services and products in this sector, including an actionable product development and rollout plan.
- Support senior management in client engagements, ensuring effective project management, day-to-day client coordination, and the creation of high-quality deliverables.
- Level 8 Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of consulting experience preferred, though applications from individuals with 2+ years of relevant experience in this sector will be considered for future roles.
- Proven experience in implementing Energy Management programs in large businesses.
- Experience in conducting Industrial Energy Audits.
- Demonstrated ability to keep client projects on track and within budget.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, logical thinking, innovation, and collaboration abilities.
