Job Description: Microsoft Fabric Data Architect Location: Anywhere in UK (Remote) Employment contract Client: Tech Mahindra Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement delivery plans with clear milestones based on business requirements.
• Design, configure, and maintain data architecture solutions utilizing Microsoft Fabric core features, including:
• Azure Data Lake (OneLake) for Big Data storage.
• Azure Synapse Data Warehouse for database management.
• Azure Synapse Data Engineering and Data Factory for data integration.
• Microsoft Purview for data governance.
• Azure Data Science for analytics and AI workloads.
• Event Stream and Data Activator for real-time data flows.
• Collaborate with Azure Cloud Architects to ensure alignment with platform goals and optimal cloud architecture design.
• Leverage your expertise in data modeling, dimensional modeling, and data warehousing techniques.
• Implement data partitioning, indexing, and optimization strategies for large datasets.
• Develop data architecture that supports self-serve analytics and AI development.
• Provide technical leadership in implementing data migration, processing, and cloud solutions using Azure services like Azure Storage, Azure SQL DB, HDInsight, Azure Databricks, Cosmos DB, ML Studio, Azure Functions, and more.
• Work with data integration tools such as Kafka, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and others to manage data ingestion, processing, and curation.
• Contribute to cloud migration processes using tools like Azure Data Factory and Event Hub.
• Provide guidance on data governance, quality, and metadata management.

• Proven experience as a Microsoft Fabric Data Architect with hands-on expertise in implementing and optimizing data solutions.
• Strong understanding of Azure and related technologies, including Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and Microsoft Purview.
• Deep knowledge of data modelling (relational and NoSQL) and data warehousing techniques.
• Expertise in Big Data architecture, cloud-based data storage, and processing solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud platforms and Serverless Architectures, including Azure SQL DB/DW, Data Factory, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Analysis Services, Databricks, and more.
• Familiarity with cloud migration methodologies and processes.
• Proficiency with technologies for real-time data flows, event-driven architectures, and microservices.
• Strong background in data partitioning, indexing, and optimization strategies for large datasets.

• Certifications: AZ-303, AZ-304, DP-200, DP-201.
• Experience with DevOps on Azure and developing ETL solutions.
• Proficiency in Power BI, C##, Spark, PySpark, and Unix scripting.
• Familiarity with metadata management tools and techniques (Data Governance, MDM, Data Lineage, etc.).
• Multi-cloud experience (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.
