Position: Lead Technical Architect Contract Duration : 3 months Location : Remote (other than collection and return of equipment in Cardiff) Rate : £243 per day (NHS Band 8a, inside IR35) About the Organization A public health authority established to drive digital transformation for better health and care services. The organization focuses on developing large-scale, technology-enabled healthcare programs to improve service accessibility and sustainability. Project Overview This role involves contributing to a national program focused on integrating health and social care data. Using Google Cloud Platform (GCP), the program aims to make data secure, accessible, and analyzable across healthcare organizations. Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement technical strategies and architectures based on GCP best practices.
- Lead cloud-based data engineering, automation, and DevOps initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish architectural principles and patterns.
- Develop scalable, secure, and reliable data models within GCP.
- Ensure solutions comply with security and performance standards.
- Mentor team members and promote knowledge sharing.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience in defining strategies and architectural decisions in cloud environments.
- Additional certifications in data engineering (e.g., Databricks, Cloudera).
- Expertise in metadata management and data modeling patterns.
- Proficiency with GCP for data and analytics.
- Strong leadership in defining and implementing technical visions.
- Experience in creating complex technical designs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
