Job Description In this role, you will assume responsibility for the hotel overnight. This role is very hands-on and involves all aspects of Front Desk operations and ensuring the safety of the hotel overnight. Key responsibilities include welcoming late arrivals, auditing the day's transactions, preparation of daily reports, attending to reservations and handling guest complaints and challenges. This is a full-time permanent position, working night shifts between the hours of 11:00pm - 07:30am on a rotating roster, with flexibility to support business needs as required. Your duties will include:
- Effectively manage the daily reconciliation of the hotel's trading.
- Check and prepare reports and statistical information in accordance with service standards and auditing procedures during the night shift.
- Represent the General Manager in their absence, holding responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of the hotel's overnight operation.
- Ensure maximum guest satisfaction as well as the safety and security of the property.
- Previous experience as a Night Manager in a medium to large hotel.
- Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism or Management.
- Ability to resolve complaints and challenges.
- Opera experience is preferred.
- Full NZ Drivers License.
- LCQ qualification and current Managers Certificate.
