We work collaboratively across 10 countries to collect, connect and understand complex data, so that governments, nation states, armed forces and commercial businesses can unlock digital advantage in the most demanding environments. PPM is strengthening its success in the RF Communications sector and in particular in the Satellite Communications arena. We now want to significantly grow this business sector and add related product lines to our own range of ViaLite RF-over-Fibre products. As part of this expansion, PPM has added a significant line of Antennas and Feeds and is rapidly growing the sales of the ViaLite product range. As a result, we are looking for a senior sales professional to lead the way in the APAC region. We are looking for someone with the following qualities:
- An entrepreneurial outlook to business and an understanding of what makes people tick.
- An in-depth end-to-end knowledge of Satellite systems, antennas and related equipment.
- A good working knowledge of RF parameters and system performance.
- Personal contact and customer service at the top of your list.
- The ability to extend the product portfolio through new relationships with established manufacturers.
- The ability to hunt down new opportunities and projects.
- Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales and revenue targets.
- Develop and maintain a strong opportunity pipeline to deliver sustainable growth.
- Attend regular customer sales meetings, support exhibitions and trade shows.
- Cultivate strong customer relationships, becoming a trusted advisor.
- Manage, motivate, and train assigned Advisor network in order to achieve sales goals.
- Prepare basic design proposals, quotes and bids for large tenders.
- Monitor and update the company on market status and competitor activity.
- Adopt and maintain a structured approach to the formal sales process.
- Arrange and manage demo products for customers.
- Prepare and present monthly sales activity reports and forecasts.
- Engage with the engineering department to identify new solution proposals for the ViaLite portfolio.
- Support the Marketing department with relevant content to aid promotion and advertising.
- Assist with the development of a technical knowledge base.
- Support Customer Support and Finance departments with post-sale activities.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills, applicable to all stages of the sales process.
- Dynamic outlook, self-driven with a passion for sales and winning business.
- Ability to communicate effectively and motivate at all levels internally and externally.
- Passionate about customer service and experience.
- Ability to plan, report and measure financial performance.
- Proficient at using relevant software packages including effective use of CRM systems.
- Flexibility to juggle many projects and requests at the same time.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Warm outgoing personality.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently.
- Willingness to travel to meet with customers and representatives.
- Degree, or equivalent experience in Electronic Engineering, Physics, or relevant technical subject.
- Experience in either RF or Fibre Optic industries, including Satellite Communications, Broadcast, Military Communications or GPS infrastructure, is a distinct advantage.
