Senior ETL Quality Assurance Engineer

Position : Sr. ETL QA. Experience : 8+ Years. Location : Remote.Job Description :We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ETL QA Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in ETL testing, performance testing, and data masking, with a deep understanding of SQL and Snowflake. Key Responsibilities : ETL Testing : - Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data transformations. - Perform data quality checks, data profiling, and data validation to ensure data integrity. - Identify and report defects, track issues to resolution, and collaborate with development teams to implement fixes. Performance Testing : - Conduct performance testing to assess the scalability and responsiveness of ETL processes. - Analyze system performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and recommend optimizations. Data Masking : - Implement data masking techniques to protect sensitive data during testing and development. - Ensure that masked data maintains data integrity and functionality. SQL and Snowflake : - Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data. - Utilize Snowflake's features and capabilities to optimize ETL processes and improve performance. Required Skills : - 8+ years of experience in ETL testing and QA - Strong proficiency in SQL - In-depth knowledge of Snowflake - Experience with data masking techniques - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Skills : - Experience with DBT, PySpark, Glue, and Lambda - Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling concepts - Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Jenkins) (ref:hirist.tech)
