Job details
Works with Producer and Art Director to ensure timely completion of game assets maintaining the look of production, including quality and art style. Responsible for coordinating and facilitating day-to-day art production processes for the project. Creating briefs and documents for asset creation and training. Participates in defining tools and art production pipeline; understands advantages and limitations of technology, and develops strategies for maximizing performance. Prepares content submission packages to be sent to clients, and ensures all content is present, organized, quality-checked and ready to be submitted to client review in-time. Participates in the establishment of short and long-term artistic goals. Responsible for identifying and recommending areas of artistic growth of each artist of his team. Fully aware of the client’s expectations for upcoming content drops, or rejected assets. Communicates regularly with the Project Manager and Art Director regarding status of current project milestones. Interacts with (Lead) Artist or Manager on client/partner side. Investigate client technology and train team artists in using it. Assist monitoring team wellbeing and identifying potential risks. Create 2D art that is efficient on multiple platforms. Serve as an active participant in team art discussions, critiques and reviews. Requirements:
- At least 1 published game as a 2D Artist on PC, mobile or console platform.
- 4+ years of experience as a professional 2D Artist for game development.
- Experience in leading a team of artists.
- Very proficient with the software packages and tools of the games industry.
- Knowledge and experience using Unity and/or Unreal.
- Expert in at least three areas of artistic production.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create results driven, team oriented environment.
