Responsibilities

  1. To conduct pipelines, piping, relief valves, plant and equipment inspection.
  2. To produce rough site isometric sketches of pipelines highlighting inspection points, problematic locations, extent of scaffold access and insulation removal requirements.
  3. To carry out visual surveys on Static Equipment, Pipelines, Tanks, piping systems to determine the condition of individual Static Equipment, Tanks pipelines and piping. The visual survey shall determine the exposed pipe/fitting/support condition and determine insulation removal, scaffolding and Non-destructive testing (NDT) requirement to assist in condition assessment.
  4. To produce an individual line condition report.
  5. To highlight areas of concern to QatarEnergy Inspector.
  6. To carry out detailed visual inspection of plant and equipment using suitable visual aids as may be required.
  7. To provide concise, accurate technical reports on equipment inspected.
  8. To report to assigned QatarEnergy inspector.
  9. To liaise with NDT Technicians for report review and interpreting results.
  10. To update all reports in APMS system and submit for approval.
  11. Candidate shall have the ability to pass QatarEnergy Permit to Work system and Consolidated Permit to Work system.

Requirements

Qualifications
  1. Minimum diploma or higher educational qualification in engineering disciplines (mechanical, metallurgy, civil, electrical, instrumentation, or equivalent).
  2. Have hands-on relevant experiences in quality control, integrity, in-service inspection and testing associated with Oil and Gas or Petrochemical Industry, for at least 10 years for diploma and 08 years for bachelor.
  3. A valid CSWIP 3.1, AWS CWI, International Welding Engineers (IWE) or equivalent certification. Two-year post-certification experience is desirable and preferred.
  4. Experiences and knowledge in QA/QC, Inspection and Testing activities in Fabrication, Manufacturing and Construction in Oil and Gas or Petrochemical Industries is essential.
  5. Shall have valid certificates of API 510, API 570, API 653 as relevant with the requirement. Two-year post-certification experience is desirable and preferred.
  6. NDT level II in RT, UT, MT, PT qualified and familiar with advanced NDT techniques. Two-year post-certification experience is desirable and preferred.
