Roles and responsibilities

The Sales Supervisor role is responsible for leading and managing a team of sales representatives to achieve sales goals and objectives. This role involves monitoring sales activities, providing guidance and training to the team, and ensuring effective execution of sales strategies. The Sales Supervisor will work closely with the sales team to enhance productivity, resolve challenges, and maintain strong relationships with key clients and distributors. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the FMCG market, and the ability to drive sales performance in a competitive environment. Responsibilities
  1. Supervise, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve individual and team sales targets.
  2. Monitor daily sales activities and ensure that sales strategies are being effectively implemented.
  3. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to the sales team.
  4. Develop and execute sales plans to increase market share and meet revenue goals.
  5. Identify training needs and organize relevant training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the sales team.
  6. Foster strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and retailers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  7. Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to adjust strategies and stay ahead in the market.
  8. Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and logistics, to ensure alignment in achieving sales objectives.
  9. Prepare and present regular sales reports and updates to senior management.
  10. Address any operational issues or challenges that may impact sales performance.
  11. Set monthly targets and KPIs for the sales team and provide the required tools to achieve them.
  12. Conduct daily market visits with all team members to ensure excellence in execution, visibility KPIs being achieved and implemented, and delivering 100% On-Shelf-Availability (OSA) at all times.
  13. Monitor daily productivity of the sales team and work with the sales management team on improving processes to elevate efficiency.

1. Team Leadership and Supervision
  1. Manage Sales Team : Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to a team of sales representatives to meet or exceed sales goals.
  2. Set Targets and KPIs : Establish clear sales targets, key performance indicators (KPIs), and quotas for team members. Regularly review and adjust targets based on business goals.
  3. Performance Monitoring : Track individual and team performance, providing regular feedback and addressing any issues or underperformance.
  4. Training and Development : Lead regular training sessions and workshops to improve product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills.
2. Sales Strategy Execution
  1. Sales Planning : Develop and implement sales strategies that align with the company’s overall business goals and objectives.
  2. Promote Products/Services : Ensure the team effectively promotes the company’s products and services, emphasizing value propositions and benefits to potential customers.
  3. Execute Sales Campaigns : Oversee the execution of sales campaigns and promotional activities, ensuring they are communicated and implemented successfully by the team.
3. Sales Reporting and Analysis
  1. Track Sales Metrics : Monitor and analyze sales performance data, identifying trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for growth.
  2. Reporting to Management : Provide regular sales reports and performance updates to senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and opportunities.
  3. Forecasting : Help in forecasting future sales by analyzing market trends, competitor activity, and past sales performance.
4. Customer Relationship Management
  1. Customer Service : Ensure that customers receive exceptional service and that any complaints or issues are promptly addressed.
  2. Build Long-Term Relationships : Work with the team to build strong, lasting relationships with customers through personalized service and follow-up.
  3. Customer Feedback : Gather and analyze customer feedback to improve sales processes, service offerings, and product quality.
5. Motivation and Incentive Programs
  1. Incentive Programs : Develop and implement incentive programs to motivate the sales team, such as bonuses or rewards for meeting or exceeding targets.
  2. Team Building : Organize team-building activities and foster a positive, collaborative work culture to maintain high morale.
