Full Stack Software Engineer (React, JavaScript) Location: Swindon or Bournemouth Salary: From £55,000 The Mortgages & Financial Wellbeing Team is looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer to develop new user interfaces using ReactJS/NextJS with .NET 8 backends. These UIs are brand new, and so there is plenty of scope for making your mark by applying the latest technologies and best practices. In this role you will be developing software to ensure that we build relationships with mortgage brokers in the most effective way. You’ll be working in a cross-functional agile team which includes business stakeholders. What you’ll be doing Harnessing your experience of modern Engineering techniques and technologies, you’ll take a frontline role delivering and supporting first-class solutions in an agile environment. As well as building our new solutions, you’ll be involved in enhancing and modernising our existing estate. As someone who collaborates well with others, you’ll drive continuous improvements and promote best practice through your actions and behaviours. You’ll also nurture and develop contacts and relationships to enable things to be done faster and more efficiently. You won’t be afraid to have a go, knowing that sometimes to fail fast is to learn fast. About you As a minimum you’ll have experience of:
- Front-end development in a business environment
- Developing applications using React – either using JavaScript or TypeScript
- Designing and developing backend microservices (REST APIs), using the Microsoft Stack (preferably C# .NET 5 or newer)
- AWS or other cloud providers
