YUZU - Adaptable Resourcing for Modern Demands: YUZU is actively seeking a Malaysian qualified Derivatives & Finance Lawyer who is readily available to undertake upcoming client assignments. In this role, you will support our international banking clients, playing a crucial part in our banking and finance legal operations. Some opportunities may enable the successful applicant to work remotely or in a hybrid work environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Negotiate and review a wide range of financial services documents, including derivatives documentation, structured notes documentation, commercial lending agreements, and trade finance contracts.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all financial transactions comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Provide legal advice and support to various banking teams on a broad spectrum of global markets matters.
• Stay informed about industry developments and regulatory changes related to financial services.
• Assist in drafting, modifying, and finalizing legal documents and financial services agreements.

Qualifications:

• Law degree and a current valid license to practice law in Malaysia .
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a derivatives lawyer in a reputable law firm or a major financial institution.
• Strong understanding of financial instruments, derivatives, structured notes, and trade finance.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with international banking regulations and practices is a plus.
