Headquartered in Toronto, the Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB) is responsible for investing in new infrastructure projects. The CIB's mission is to work with provincial, territorial, municipal, federal, Indigenous and private sector investor partners to transform the way infrastructure is planned, financed and delivered in Canada. The Manager, Financial Reporting,willreport to the Senior Manager, Planning, Analysis and Treasury, and will be responsible for evaluating the classification, valuation, and measurement of each investment in the CIB's growing portfolio. The Manager, Financial Reporting, will also lead the preparation and analysis of the CIB's quarterly and annual financial reporting in accordance with Public Sector Accounting guidelines, the Financial Administration Act, CIB policies and all applicable legislative and regulatory requirements.Your responsibilities include:Evaluating the classification, valuation, and measurement of each CIB investment, and its impact on the CIB's financial statementsAs required, coordinating with external consultants on accounting advisory and valuations related mattersPreparing and analyzing annual and quarterly financial statements in accordance with Public Sector Accounting GuidelinesManaging the external audit with the Office of the Auditor General and external auditorsMaintaining effective interest rate schedules and calculationsEnhancing and developing accounting policy to inform CIB reportingManaging internal audit on financial processesContributing to quarterly Board reporting deliverablesManaging, developing and training Senior Analysts, Finance, including providing constructive feedback and performance reviewsContributing to special projects, process improvement initiatives, internal communication, and financial system optimizationYour ideal profileUniversity degree, in business or Finance or related field5+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, with a proven track record of leadershipExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsProficiency in financial software and advanced spreadsheet applicationsHighly analytical with great attention to detailSelf-motivated and pro-active, with respect to both managing workload and professional developmentCan work in a dynamic and complex environmentCan adapt quickly to manage changing priorities and deadlinesStrategic thinker, focused on efficiency and improving existing processesDemonstrated knowledge of key finance issues (e.g., accounting, treasury, tax, capital)Ability to work collaboratively in teams/groups and to build effective, trusting relationships across the CIB at all levels and with external clients/partnersKnowledge of Public Sector Accounting guidelines and relevant financial regulations and compliance requirementsBilingual French and English (written and oral) is an assetTo apply for this position, please email your resume to careers@cib-bic.ca with the Subject Line:Manager, Financial ReportingWe thank you for your interest.
