Software Engineer - £43,000 - Hybrid Title : Software Engineer Company : Space-tech Location : Stevenage Base pay : £43,000 Overview : A next-generation and R&D led Space-Tech firm have opened up an opportunity for a mid-level Software Engineer with C++ expertise to join a well-funded and established technical team. This is a fantastic chance for a mid-level developer to accelerate their career by working on bleeding-edge tech in a greenfield environment. The role :
- Design and develop greenfield mission-critical systems in C++, as well as applications in Python
- Champion modern software technologies to streamline development
- Work with different teams to build large-scale on-board systems from the ground up
- C/C++ development for systems on Linux ( essential )
- Commercial use of Python ( essential )
- Very comfortable in a Linux environment ( essential )
- 1-5 years' commercial development experience ( essential )
- Knowledge of Python libraries ( desirable )
- Development of high availability systems ( desirable )
- Linux kernel and device driver knowledge ( desirable )
- Must already live in the UK or be a British Citizen
- Relevant degree
