Hawksworth are recruiting now for a ‘Technical lead’ for a Front-Office eFX IT team . This is a Contract role inside IR35. £800 - £1100 per day depending on skills and experience. 1 year assignment. Hybrid working – 3 days per week in the office (central London). The job: Working in eFX technology team you will be responsible for the suite of applications and services from the Efx business line, supporting connectivity to markets dealer platforms, pricing and trader tools and supports FX spot, Forward, options and deposits. The services are implanted in Java, C#, KDB+. ‘The FX business is looking to improve their electronic footprint by building out a number of low latency services in Java. This would include market data in, pricing, price distribution to client, orders out etc.. The technical product this solution is built in is called SharpFX. The role encompasses the technical team leadership of the SharpFX team. This team develops the pricing, hedging and low latency order and price distribution team systems for the eFX desk. The team consists of Java and C# developers, developing server-side and UI components respectively. There is at present a number of strategic projects aimed at migrating to a new target technology for pricing, consolidating the pricing of all products within the SharpFX stack. What are we looking for: Essential:
- Higher education (Degree or equivalent) in computer science, maths physics or engineering.
- Expert in programming in Java (including Multithreading, Low Latency, Garbage collection-aware techniques.
- Time in a Front-Office role with FX business knowledge.
- FX Financial Knowledge, FX Options knowledge advantageous, FX Options knowledge, FIX interfaces, FIX packages
- Linux
- Designing and building real-time mission critical applications and message bus technology.
