Join us as a Senior Project Manager (National Projects) and lead the delivery of complex, high-value projects with maximum efficiency. Ensure our projects meet programme, budget, safety, quality, and environmental goals, driving HEB's success in the civil construction sector. In this role, you'll also shape HEB's Strategic Business Plan, develop tenders, mentor future leaders, and leverage your business relationships and leadership experience. Be a key player in our growth and success. You will be an experienced and motivated Senior Project Manager, providing leadership to a large multidisciplinary infrastructure project across New Zealand. You will take ownership of project outcomes, ensuring that they are delivered safely and successfully, with a focus on service and quality. We want you to come in and hit the ground running! HEB will provide a friendly and supportive team environment. Initially based with the Winning Work team at the Head Office in Auckland, the position will eventually transfer to site as required once projects have been won and commenced. The Role: You'll also be responsible for:
- Delivering quality civils projects within time and budget parameters, and to the client's satisfaction
- Providing specialised technical advice as appropriate
- Managing and motivating effective project teams and sub-contractors
- Championing health and safety
- Working alongside managers and stakeholders
- Actively seeking improvement and innovation opportunities to harness efficiency in all aspects of our work
- Civil Engineering degree, equivalent qualification, or through years of experience
- Proven experience in managing water, utilities, roading, earthworks, land development, and other civil construction projects
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly with others
- Financial acumen so you can deliver projects within budget
- Experience contributing to tender development and fostering strategic partnerships
- Experience managing a diverse team and range of projects
