Our government client is seeking an experienced Product Owner with a strong background in content management systems (CMS), document management, and workflow optimization. This role will be instrumental in driving the development and delivery of user-centered content solutions while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and security standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, UX designers, and stakeholders, to define and prioritize product requirements, focusing on enhancing workflows, content accessibility, and overall user experience. Contract Type: Contract (Outside IR35) Duration: 6 months, with potential extension Day Rate: Competitive Rates Location: Hybrid working (flexible) Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for the content management platform, ensuring its development aligns with business and user needs.
- Own and prioritize the product backlog, defining clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and deliverables.
- Drive the design and implementation of workflows, document management solutions, and CMS functionalities to meet organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with UX/UI teams to ensure content platforms deliver a seamless and intuitive user experience.
- Engage with stakeholders across the defence sector to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment with business priorities.
- Champion best practices in content management, workflow optimization, and document governance.
- Monitor and report on product performance, making data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
- Ensure all solutions adhere to government security and compliance standards.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner, with a focus on content systems and workflow management.
- Strong expertise in CMS platforms and document management tools
- Experience in designing and optimizing workflows for large-scale organizations.
- Knowledge of UX principles and a user-centered approach to product development.
- Strong understanding of content strategies , including metadata, taxonomy, and search optimization.
- Familiarity with integration of content platforms into broader ecosystems, including APIs and automation tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders in complex, regulated environments.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience in government or defence projects, with an understanding of security and compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with engine-based content systems and modular design principles.
- Certification in Agile or Scrum methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner).
- Technical knowledge of document formats, archiving, and long-term content storage.
