HEB is searching for an experienced Project Director to oversee the overall delivery of our projects, from tender development to successful completion. This role involves leading a multidisciplinary team, ensuring successful bids, and driving profitable projects with the right technical solutions. This role is integral to HEB's success, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and effectively while supporting the growth and development of HEB staff. Key responsibilities include:
- Project Leadership - assess project risk and opportunity, ensuring projects are well-led with the right technical solutions, good construction practices, and appropriate innovation/risk profiles.
- Work with bid managers to secure successful bids that enable profitable projects.
- Build and manage the project team.
- Supervise project execution - schedule works, plan equipment, and workforce planning.
- Guide a multidisciplinary team to achieve client objectives and successful business outcomes for HEB.
- Proactive risk management and project management reporting, mitigations, and interventions to improve project outcomes.
- Lead from the front on health and safety.
- Contribute to HEB's Strategic Business Plan, including tender development, staff mentoring, and leveraging business relationships.
- 20+ years' construction experience.
- Working knowledge of CCCS Candy/Siteplan, MS applications.
- Relevant experience in civil construction/maintenance.
- Ability to plan efficiently, including allocation of plant and labour resources and materials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective communication skills/styles across all levels of the organisation.
- Time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks and maintain accurate records.
