Overview We’re looking for an experienced Senior Broker to join our corporate team based in Beaumont Street in Auckland. The primary objective of this position is to provide our clients with expert insurance advice and products, ensuring that they have the necessary coverage to withstand any insurable event financially. As a trusted advisor, the Broker – Corporate establishes and maintains relationships with key decision makers, taking charge of growth, acquisition, and renewals for our large corporate clients. Leveraging their technical expertise, they lead client presentations and negotiations, as well as prepare tender submissions and proposals. How you'll make an impact

  • Contribute to mid and short-term business strategy and planning to ensure that our targets are in line with current market trends, regulations and operational processes
  • Develop and execute a strategic business growth plan that meets or exceeds established sales targets
  • Continually develop and manage exceptional client relationships to deliver an outstanding experience, to further drive retention and positive client referrals
  • Build knowledge and understanding of our client’s business and industry market to provide trusted advice and to grow the portfolio
  • Proactively cross sell and promote products to clients including premium funding, cyber risk, domestic insurance and life and health
  • Management of renewals ensuring that they are completed on or before expiry dates, resolve client queries and service alterations and endorsements
  • Actively develop business confidence in Gallagher through maintaining relevant relationships in the business markets including strategic alliance and develop new client relationships through the effective use of networks and own research
  • Coach the Broker Support Staff to develop their knowledge and capabilities so that they become able to manage their own client base
Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in corporate insurance
  • Proven ability to develop and manage complex client accounts
  • Proven ability to identify, generate, qualify, develop, negotiate & close opportunities
  • Demonstrated experience of writing tender submissions, presenting and building relationships with key decision makers
  • A high degree of commercial acumen
  • Holds or is working towards a Certificate in Financial Services (NZQA Level 5)
