About The Team At Circles, our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team is part of the broader Corporate Strategy and Finance team, and is the heart and soul behind our financial strategy and discipline. The role sits within the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team within the CFO office and reports directly to the Global Head of Corporate Strategy, FP&A, and Commercial About This Role We are looking for a highly hands-on role and experienced Finance Business Partner (FBP) to support our CTO and CPO departments. This is a global role based out of India , offering exposure to our rapidly growing Enterprise SaaS business that is transforming some of the largest telcos into Techcos and already count 4 of the top 10 global telcos among clientele. You will work directly with the CTO, CPO, product & engineering VPs, and other business leaders, providing financial leadership and supporting them in commercial decision-making, budgeting, forecasting, monthly business reviews, financial operations, reporting, and achieving financial KPIs in alignment with the overall business strategy. You will also lead/support strategic analyses both on growth and cost optimization topics as well as help model the detailed cost estimates for new commercial contracts. About You You are a qualified CA/CFA (ideally with MBA) with formative 3-4 years working for a Big 4 Audit firm followed by 6-8 years as a Finance Business Partner to the Engineering department of a fast-paced SaaS company (blend of scaleups and MNCs is even better). You bring strong financial and commercial acumen, excellent analytical capability and strategic thinking, and fluent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence and build relationships with the C-suite and key business stakeholders. A proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial analysis, cost optimization, and monthly business reviews is the basic hygiene. What You'll Do

  • Business Partnering: Use your financial prowess to partner with business leaders across Engineering Product teams, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders. Your insights will be crucial in steering our investments, growth, and optimization efforts.
  • Budgeting and Planning: Own the planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes, ensuring data integrity and leading monthly reviews with flair to ensure the department meets its financial objectives.
  • Variance Analysis: Conduct monthly variance analysis across the department cost items, explaining the drivers for the variance and taking necessary preventative action
  • Strategic Planning: Understand departmental business and financial objectives, support stakeholders with financial planning, and assist in commercial negotiations.
  • Shape the Future: Introduce and maintain disciplined finance routines that guide decision-making processes, from budgets to long-term plans.
  • Investment Guru: Prioritize investments in headcount and expenses with analytical rigor, ensuring every dollar works its magic.
  • Model Maestro: Build and manage best-in-class three-statement financial models, build complex financial models to support ad-hoc analyses, that drive our strategic decisions.
  • Innovate and Elevate: Drive productivity by introducing AI, automation, and standardization, making our processes smarter and more efficient. You are expected to leverage tools like Oracle Fusion, Data Rails, Anaplan, and GSuite for financial analysis and reporting.
What We Are Looking For
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, performance reporting, financial operations, and accounting.
  • Expertise in financial planning tools, including advanced Excel and GSuite, with added value for Oracle Fusion, DataRails, and Anaplan exposure.
  • Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of business operations.
  • Tech-savvy with an ability to adopt and leverage financial technologies effectively.
  • Excellent communication, articulation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous) environment.
  • Education:
  • CA (Chartered Accountant) or CFA (US) qualification is mandatory.
  • A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.
  • MBA is optional but adds value.
