The early years education technology sector is booming. We’re a fast-moving, innovative childcare software company, and our product is transforming the childcare sector. Being one of the pioneers in the SaaS childcare software industry based in the United Kingdom, we’re seeking an exceptional, passionate, and talented full-stack PHP developer to join our India office. This role will help build and improve on our existing product, follow the established product roadmap, and translate it into an innovative, truly unique and user-friendly product. You will be closely working with the development team to build and deliver improvements and new features raising the bar on product experience across Cheqdin’s cloud platform. This is a remote work-from-home role, applicant must be based in Kerala, India. We are looking for someone who can wear many hats, you will have to work with different business verticals and face a varied set of challenges. Key Responsibilities: · Build, design and drive software development from the front · Evaluate and design new product workflows · Translate business vision into product application strategy · Troubleshooting and problem-solving on a day-to-day basis · Ownership of product and application management · Prepare technical documentation and processes · Ensuring strict compliance with security requirements and standards · Manage product releases in a timely and cost-effective manner · Identifying product gaps and performance issues in a proactive manner · Application Management including Cloud, App Stores and AWS Environment · Coordinate software development with third parties and other developers · Assisting senior management in planning product roadmap Key Requirements: · Experience in PHP with MVC framework experience (Laravel, CodeIgniter)· Experience in LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, Python/Perl)· Experience in writing front-end code in HTML5, Tailwind CSS, CSS3 etc. · Good Experience in JS frameworks such as jQuery/AngularJS 2+/ReactJS/VueJS and responsive designs · Good working experience with MySQL Databases · Prior Experience in performance optimization, SQL tuning, SQL Indexing, SQL partitioning, caching techniques · Ability to design RESTful APIs & Web services · Experience working with GitHub and a good understanding of version control & release practices. Skills: · Logical and analytical mindset. · Ability to work independently as well as in teams. · Cares deeply about “clean”, semantic, well-designed code and follows industry best practices. · Meet deadlines and deliver under pressure · Have a passion for delivering an excellent user experience. · Build reusable code and libraries for future use. · Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders. · Solid knowledge in all phases of the software development lifecycle & Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process. · Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills is a must Desirable: · Knowledge of childcare, education technology or SaaS cloud-based software · Understanding of DevOps and concepts · Experience in popular third-party API Integrations (Stripe, PayPal, Xero, Quickbooks, Applepay, GooglePay etc.)· Experience using JIRA, Notion, MS Teams or Slack · Ancillary technologies for internet applications: TCP/IP, POP, SMTP etc. Interview Process: Ideal candidates will pass through the following stages-1.
