We're looking for a visionary and hands-on Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join our leadership team in Cork, Ireland.PolyPico, a pioneer in precision micro-dispensing technology, is transforming how industries approach micro-dispensing solutions. As CTO, you will be instrumental in shaping our technological roadmap, overseeing product development, and driving innovation that fuels PolyPico's growth and reputation for excellence.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership: Set and communicate the technology strategy that aligns with PolyPico's long-term goals and competitive positioning. Inspire and drive innovation across the company to maintain a market-leading edge.Customer-Centric Representation: Act as a key technical ambassador, presenting PolyPico's technology to potential clients, stakeholders, and industry leaders. Run product demonstrations, facilitate testing of customer samples, and translate complex concepts into clear, compelling presentations.Product Development and System Design: Lead the design and enhancement of mechanical and robotic systems, from concept through prototype to production-ready systems. Oversee the development of scalable solutions, ensuring both functionality and manufacturability.Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing, multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and technologists across mechanical, electronics, software, and physics domains. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.Operational and Project Oversight: Manage and synchronize production and R&D schedules to ensure efficient operations and timely project delivery. Implement effective resource allocation and risk management strategies to meet both short-term and strategic goals.Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement: Establish and refine processes that enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability. Ensure systems are in place for effective logistics, resource planning, and seamless cross-functional collaboration.Sales and Customer Liaison: Work closely with the sales team to align technology with customer needs, and act as a bridge between technical development and client requirements, ensuring solutions meet market demands and exceed customer expectations.Essential Qualifications and Skills:Educational Background: Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Electronic, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.Leadership Experience: Proven track record in a CTO, VP of Engineering, or similar executive role within a small to medium-sized technology company. Demonstrated success in leading high-impact projects and cross-functional teams.Technical and Strategic Proficiency: Skilled in both high-level technology planning and hands-on technical work. Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced in designing scalable systems for manufacturing and production.Customer-Focused Communication: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders and build relationships across functions and with customers.Adaptability and Agility: Capable of adapting to rapidly changing requirements, emerging technologies, and evolving customer needs.
