- Hepatobiliary, Pancreatic and Oesophagogastric Surgery
- Acute Surgical
- Vascular Surgery
- Breast Surgery
- Plastics
- Urology
- Cardiothoracic Surgery (one Registrar every six months)
- ICU (one Registrar every six months)
- Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You can check your eligibility for registration by visiting the Council's website at
- We are interested in hearing from RMOs with an interest in surgery looking to pursue a surgical career or wanting some surgical experience to contribute to their career aspirations. Our surgical RMO management work closely with Registrars to achieve career goals
- We welcome expressions of interest from RMOs with less than two years' experience who are intending to apply for the 2025 training year. Please make note of this in your application
