Associate Researcher

Job Responsibilities: • Develop and optimize microbial fermentation processes to produce biopharmaceuticals. • Conduct small-scale and pilot-scale fermentation experiments and analyze data to evaluate process performance/ product yield. • Generate research cell banks for use in fermentations. • Collaborate with downstream processing and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless scale- up and transfer of fermentation process. • Provide technical support during process scale-up and production campaigns. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure process consistency and efficiency. • Prepare technical reports, SOP/batch records, internal and external presentations to support tech transfer of upstream process. • Adhere to regulatory requirements to ensure effective, high-quality, timely and appropriate documentation in physical or electronic laboratory notebooks. Maintain diligent and organized records. • Clearly communicate results and recommendations to colleagues and managers. • Stay updated with current trends and advancements in microbial fermentation. • Participate int troubleshooting and problem-solving activities. Expected qualification: • Minimum M.SC. in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field. • 4-6 years hands on experience in biotechnology/pharmaceutical manufacturing practices (Preferably Biopharma), guidelines. Knowledge about cGMP and QA/ QC operations is preferable. • Experience in microbial culture and fermentation-based manufacturing of biopharmaceutical products. • Technical proficiency required for aseptic microbial fermentation. • Exposure to statistical data analysis and data trending for strategic decision and defining a new strategy is an added advantage. • Relevant industry experience in GMP environment is a plus. • Must be self-motivating, organized, and proactive. • Strong technical aptitude including demonstrated experience in applying scientific reasoning to solve complex problems. • Strong knowledge of computer systems including base of computer systems including base of MS word, MS excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS projects in addition to familiarity with statistical software and planning with inventory systems. • Ability to work hours necessary to support production and/ or product transfer activities.
