The Senior Client Manager (SCM) / Client Manager (CM) is the key liaison between our amazing clients and our rockstar agency team, driving the successful end-to-end execution of campaigns while effectively managing multiple accounts simultaneously. Whether it’s overseeing accounts, coordinating with our talented teams, or ensuring every project is delivered on time and within budget, you’re the one making it happen. This position will be based in our Kuala Lumpur office, and you’ll report directly to a Group Client Director and Managing Director.

Your role

1. Account Management & Client Relationship Building

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for clients, ensuring consistent, high-quality communication.
  • Foster strong, long-term client relationships by understanding their business needs, challenges, and strategic goals.
  • Proactively anticipate client needs and provide innovative solutions to elevate their marketing and advertising objectives.
  • Drive client satisfaction by consistently delivering above expectations and ensuring a seamless experience.

2. Campaign Planning & Execution

  • Lead the development and execution of campaigns from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with client objectives and timelines.
  • Coordinate with strategy, creative, social, media, and production teams to deliver integrated marketing solutions.
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail, ensuring deliverables meet client expectations in quality and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Effectively prioritize and manage multiple accounts and campaigns without compromising operational efficiency.

3. Commercial Excellence

  • Drive profitability by managing project budgets effectively, monitoring margins, and avoiding cost overruns.
  • Develop accurate cost estimates, proposals, and scopes of work while ensuring alignment with client expectations and agency standards.
  • Collaborate with finance teams for invoicing, billing, and reconciliation to maintain a healthy financial relationship with clients.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to expand client portfolios and generate additional revenue streams.
  • Use performance results to show how the campaign helped the client achieve their goals, proving the value of the agency's work and building trust and confidence in the partnership.

4. Operational Excellence

  • Implement best practices for project management, ensuring timelines and milestones are met without compromising quality.
  • Use project management tools / new-age approaches to optimize workflows and enhance collaboration between teams.
  • Streamline processes to improve efficiency and deliver campaigns faster, with fewer bottlenecks.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, approvals, and campaign details for accountability and transparency.
  • Champion continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and driving process enhancements.

5. Strategic & Analytical Leadership

  • Provide clients with strategic insights derived from market research, consumer behavior, and industry trends.
  • Work closely with strategists to translate client objectives into actionable plans that drive measurable results.
  • Facilitate strategic discussions with clients, helping them navigate challenges and identify opportunities for growth.

6. Team Collaboration & Leadership

  • Act as a central hub, coordinating with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment on project goals.
  • Provide clear and concise briefs, ensuring that all teams understand the client’s vision and requirements.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members including Client Executives, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture.
  • Lead by example in embodying professionalism, adaptability, and a solution-oriented mindset.

7. Brand & Creative Stewardship

  • Advocate for creative ideas that align with the client’s brand and strategic objectives.
  • Ensure all outputs adhere to the client’s brand guidelines and maintain a consistent voice and tone.
  • Challenge conventional approaches, encouraging innovative solutions that deliver impactful results.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Communications, Marketing or Integrated Marketing.
  • 1-4 years of experience in a digital marketing agency, managing campaigns and client accounts.
  • A self-starter who anticipates client needs and brings fresh ideas and solutions to the table.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives on working together, but also excels at managing multiple projects independently.
  • An innovative thinker with a passion for driving client success and agency excellence.
  • Eager to learn, stay ahead of trends, and continually grow your expertise in digital marketing.
  • Adaptable and resilient in the face of challenges, always finding solutions.
  • A client and agency-centric mindset, focused on delivering results for both.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, with a drive to expand your knowledge.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to think analytically when it comes to both operational & commercial excellence.
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and conducting internet research to uncover insights & breaking trends.
