Our client seeks to recruit a highly skilled Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of their shipping agency business in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As a leading player in the shipping industry, our client is committed to excellence and growth, offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated finance professional to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, leadership experience, and a deep understanding of the shipping sector. Key Responsibilities :
- Lead a team of 8 members, managing daily accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Oversee the year-end closing process and the preparation of financial statements.
- Prepare and present regular MIS reports to senior management, analyze financial data, and support strategic decision-making.
- Manage VAT and corporate tax compliance, staying updated on tax regulations.
- Mentor and develop the finance team, providing leadership and guidance to enhance team performance.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets, implement cost control measures, and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
- Chartered Accountant (CA), M.Com, or MBA.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the service industry, preferably within the shipping/logistics sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel.
- Knowledge of financial practices within the shipping industry is a plus.
