JOB KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES EHSS: Support achieving company target Incident Rate. Report e SHEM, participate in management walkthrough and incident investigations. Provides leadership for YANPET investment projects development to ensure alignment with the company’s objectives and quality delivery of projects within schedule, budget, and scope. Supervises the preparation and approval of Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and other Gate-3 requirements for selected CPDs from those passed Gate-2 with Class-2 cost estimate (+/-10%). Manages and controls raising and documenting of the Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) and reviews AFE package for final approval by Senior Management of Board, as applicable. Reports weekly/monthly the project status to senior management as per the agreed mechanism and frequencies. Determines priorities, assigns work, and provides direction to department staff. Provides effective management to ensure that all available resources are used in the most effective way. Develop the project development section annual objectives in line with YANPET key objectives and monitor them to ensure their achievement. Support to deliver the project conceptual design, FEED, and Gates phases. Develops and maintains an effective team of professional staff. Ensure the effective achievement of functional objectives through setting departmental and individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, providing formal and informal feedback and appraisal in order to maximize staff and departmental performance. Provide coaching/consulting function to various project teams as needed to ensure that all unresolved issues which require guidance are addressed in a timely manner. Plans and executes the training and development needs of the Project management staff. Helps staff to develop their individual Development plans (IDP) and support and monitor their improvement. Encourages the project development staff to obtain international certification related to engineering and project management (e.g. PMP). Evaluates potential improvements and motivates staff to capture development opportunities in order to provide efficient and quality services. Ensures knowledge building and sharing of project engineering and management best practices across YANPET departments. Reviews quarterly the department performance and takes corrective actions, as applicable to maintain/improve progress to the planned targets. Conducts post project review to discuss achievement and lessons learned and apply the learning in future projects. MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent. Knowledge of computer and software applications related to work (MS-Office, SAP-M/PS). Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus. Ability to communicate in English. Minimum 5 years of Project Engineering and Management experience in oil & gas petrochemical industries. COMPETENCIES/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: Project management skills. Very good English skills. Demonstrated strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Basic knowledge of safety rules and process safety best practices. Ability to manage resources and monitor activities. Ability to use effective approaches for choosing a course of actions or develop appropriate solutions. Understand the general terminologies of project management. Ability to deliver presentations suited to the characteristics needed for the audiences such as major project gate review.
