Job Purpose As a Service Transition Manager, you will oversee the transition of new services into operational environments for cloud platforms and applications. This role is critical in ensuring that new products and services are delivered smoothly and meet the required quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, service management, and a deep understanding of the healthcare industry. Reporting Manager: Service Delivery Manager This an Individual Contributor role Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Service Transition Planning: Develop and implement service transition plans for new products and services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  2. Requirement Engineering: Define, describe and prioritize the necessary operational requirements, which have to be fulfilled and implemented by the to be operated products or services, refinement of those requirements with the affected product development teams.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, QA, and operations, to ensure all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the transition process. Expert in explaining and operational requirements.
  4. Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with service transitions and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on service delivery and patient care.
  5. Continuous Improvement: Lead post-transition reviews to identify lessons learned and implement improvements for future transitions.
  6. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all service transitions comply with relevant healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices.
Education & Work Experience • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field • 6-8 Years of experience in Software or Cloud Platform Operations or Development projects in an agile environment including service management • Work Item Tracking: Knowledge of managing work items, user stories, and backlog prioritization within Azure Boards. • Service Management Frameworks: ITIL Knowledge: Understanding of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) principles and practices for service management, particularly in service transition and operation. • Project Management Skills: Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile practices, including Scrum and Kanban, to manage projects and facilitate team collaboration. • Data Analysis and Reporting: Data Analytics Tools: Proficiency in using data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel) to analyze performance metrics and generate reports. • Performance Metrics: Ability to define and track KPIs related to service transitions and operational performance. • Technical Understanding: Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC): Familiarity with the stages of software development, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance. • Cloud Technologies: Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and services, particularly Microsoft Azure, AWS including services relevant to DevOps. • Azure DevOps Proficiency: CI/CD Pipelines: Understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment processes to automate the software delivery lifecycle. • Version Control: Familiarity with Git repositories, branching strategies, and pull request workflows. • Cloud Architecture Principles: o Microservices Architecture: Familiarity with microservices design principles, including service decomposition and inter-service communication. o Serverless Architecture: Understanding of serverless computing concepts and how they can be applied to product development. o Containerization: Knowledge of container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and their role in cloud architecture. • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Understanding of IaC principles and tools (e.g., Terraform, Azure Resource Manager) for managing infrastructure deployments. • Soft Skills (Complementary to Technical Skills): While technical skills are crucial, soft skills are equally important for a Technical Service Transition Manager. These include: o Team Management: Ability to lead cross-functional teams and foster collaboration. o Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders. o Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions. o Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing technologies and business requirements.
