Responsibilities:
- Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving the escalated incidents in Linux/Unix Server platforms.
- Escalating cases to the L3 Infrastructure/application team if needed.
- Performing regular server operations such as setup, upgrades, patch deployments, monitoring, health checks, backup, and restore.
- Responsible for system troubleshooting and performance tuning.
- Preparing and maintaining technical documentation.
- Providing support on issues related to servers and storage.
- Liaising with external vendors for IT server operations and maintenance.
You bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
- 2+ years of relevant working experience in Unix/Linux Servers, VMware, x86 servers, and storage.
- Experience in sizable companies and ITIL is preferable.
- Self-motivated, quick learner, with a can-do attitude and the ability to work under pressure.
- Holder of ITIL Foundation or above is a plus.
- Knowledge of AIX/HPUX/Solaris is a plus.
- Willingness to work afternoon, night shifts, and on public holidays on a rotation basis. Shift work will be compensated with shift allowances.
- Proficiency in Cantonese/Mandarin to effectively communicate with Cantonese/Mandarin-speaking clients.
