Onside is seeking a Software Development Manager to join their team in Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand. The ideal candidate will have the ability to develop and maintain robust, scalable, and effective software applications while adhering to best practices and coding standards. Onside is an agri-tech SaaS scale-up born out of Christchurch, providing problem-solving solutions for farmers and agribusiness through cutting-edge, innovative software. The candidate should provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members, monitoring them in software development best practices, coding techniques, and design patterns. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $130,000 per year. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.

Qualifications for Software Development Manager:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Senior-level coding expertise using both Core and .NET framework.
• Experience in agile methods and Kanban.
• Proficient in continuous integration and continuous deployment technologies including Git and Azure DevOps.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities for Software Development Manager:

• Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient software applications using Core and .NET framework.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members.
• Collaborate with the testing and customer support teams to resolve issues, ensuring the stability and reliability of software applications.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical workshops to ensure code quality and scalability of software solutions.
