Virbhu India Pvt Ltd – Vadodara (Gujarat), a wholly owned subsidiary of AK Power Solutions (USA) , operating in the field of power electronics, has an immediate opening for an Embedded Systems Hardware Architect. Come join us in this exciting quest to lead innovation to develop first to the world power electronics-based power converters for fast growing markets such as Electric Vehicle Charging. Candidates residing in Bangalore will be considered for hybrid, coming to office every 2 weeks. Candidates residing in Vadodara will be onsite M-F. Responsibilities:
- Complete Hardware Design & Development of embedded control boards (Analog & Digital) using Altium or similar tools.
- Selection of Microcontroller, Digital Signal Processor/Controllers, FPGAs as needed.
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, validation (at board and system level).
- Responsible for schematics captures, layout check, BOM creation and debugging and testing.
- PCB development for gate drivers
- Create fluent technical documentation including product specifications, layout instructions, test procedures, etc.
- Work closely with firmware, software, and mechanical team to achieve common goals.
- Participate in product design reviews, own hardware issues to provide solutions either in design or at production.
- Participate in lab development, test automation and productivity improvement initiatives Will be responsible for hardware design, bring up, certification and production release.
- BTech in Electronics & Communications
- Must have a minimum of 8 years of experience working in Embedded Hardware design including experience on digital, analog, and mixed signal circuit design.
- Expertise in Power supply design, battery management, ADCs, memories, buffers, drivers, amplifiers, Micro controller design and different hardware protocols (UART, I2C, SPI etc.)
- Hands on experience with Altium, Allegro, Mentor Graphics PADs and CAM350.
- Good Knowledge on Power Electronics Circuits Design (Thyristors, MOSFET, IGBT, Solid State Switches, Op-to Isolator etc.)
- Proven track record of working with test lab equipment and simulation tools.
- Hands on Experience in Schematic design, PCB review, Circuit simulation.
- Design optimization techniques for performance, cost, and manufacturability
- Good understanding of EMI/EMC and their impact on hardware
- Experience developing design notes for designs and test cases for board bring-up.
