Job details

The laboratory performs tests on in-process and finished product samples according to the production, specification, and customer requirements, as well as on effluent samples. The laboratory equipment includes liquid chromatographs, gas chromatographs, UV-visible spectrophotometers, ICP analyzers, and other simple instruments. The lab operates 24 hours a day. Samples are retained according to company procedures. The Technical & Quality Manager manages the laboratory and the laboratory technicians.

Responsibilities

  • The lab requires technicians who have a good knowledge of instrumental and chemical analysis and who can analyze and interpret results to advise the process staff to take appropriate corrective actions to ensure the quality of the products.

Skills

B.Sc / Diploma in Chemistry Minimum 5 years of experience in a QC laboratory of any chemical, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, agrochemical units, or testing laboratories. Good knowledge of instrumental analysis using GCs, HPLCs, spectrophotometers, KF titrators; and good knowledge of chemical analysis. Good knowledge of computer operations, including MS Office, and knowledge of GLP and laboratory safety.
