Responsibilities

  • Solid verifiable experience of management of FIDIC based re-measurable subcontracts for EPC contractor(s).
  • Deep understanding of contracts commercial models application (Unit rates, reimbursable and Lump Sum) and the contract administration principles for managing and understanding of contract terms for contractual intent and application.
  • Change and claim management and administration.
  • Managing contractual meetings, preparing and maintaining detailed MOM, verifiable experiences on formulation of contractual correspondence (Letters, Site instructions, CCO, MOM, …).
  • Collaboration with other Project teams (engineering, construction, commissioning, project controls, commercial etc), supporting the Project to achieve goals primarily focused on Contracting Strategy, Proposals, Sourcing, Contracting Awards and Project Contract Execution for Engineering, Construction and EPC Projects. This includes implementing the Projects Subcontracts Strategy identifying the life of project requirements including working with planning and cost/estimating to understand budget allocations against contracts.
  • Performance management of contracts.
  • Structured weekly and monthly reporting.

  • Develop strategies and lead the commercial contracting negotiations for hiring PMC companies, commissioning companies, engineering & construction subcontract categories aligning to project requirements.
  • Develop base intelligence strategies to ensure Air Products benefits from latest supply offering.
  • Bring innovative solutions to maximize value proposition for products and bid opportunities.
  • Monitor, communicate, and respond to changing market conditions and business drivers to maximize leverage and minimize risk.
  • Lead cross-functional teams involved in supplier discovery.
  • Identify, develop and manage contractors; understand safety, commercial and capacity risks.
  • Manage contractor relationships and maintain interface at senior level within contractors’ organizations.
  • Act as an escalation point for contractor interface for project execution issues when relevant.
  • Effectively participate in Continuous Improvement activities.

  • Good Knowledge of SAP and requisition to pay processes.
  • Previous experience on Tank contract management is a plus.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Engineering (preferably Mechanical / Civil) degree OR Business Administration. Masters of Business Administration degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 15 years of work experience in contracts, construction contracting or construction management on EPC Contractor side.
  • Thorough understanding of Air Products offering and markets.
  • Thorough understanding and prior experience in contracts and contractual language.
  • Excellent oral and written English proficiency is a must. Fluency in Arabic language is a plus but not mandatory.
