Job Purpose: The Senior Design Manager is a key postholder that plays an important role in the Module Integration team at module/package level within the overall Design Management Level. This is a leadership package(s) role that enables a vision to be translated into an effective operational plan. 2. Reporting Relationships: Reports to: Module Design Director (MDD) or Lead Design Director (LDD) Main Interfaces to the role:

  1. SHEQ Teams
  2. Other Senior Project Managers
  3. Other Module Design Directors (MDD)
  4. Engineered Design team in various Engineering Hub
  5. PMO team
  6. Commercial team
  7. Enabling Works and Super Structure Team
  8. Strategic Planning Team
  9. Marina team
  10. Spine Construction team
3. Role Of Department Delivery of the Marina Modules – end to end responsibility for schedule, cost, and quality from Design Stage 3A to handover to meet current and future commitments and to maximise opportunities. 4. Responsibilities
  1. Manage the Design Consultants in their delivery of the design package for the Early Works Package for the Marina Modules.
  2. Review the Design Packages issued by the Design Consultants to ensure that these packages meet the SOW with clear Audit process.
  3. Ensure coordination between the EWP Teams and the respective Design Consultants to continuously resolve issues with clear solutions.
  4. Ensure each design package is delivered on-time to ensure the Construction Team progresses without delay.
  5. Organise/facilitate coordination between EWP Team with Construction team to resolve any issues identified during the construction team review of the design package.
  6. Ensure periodic reporting to the Module Delivery Team of design delivery progress/construction progress/issue resolutions/BIM clash resolutions.
  7. Participate in multi-disciplinary coordination workshops.
  8. Line Management Duties for the team directly reporting to Senior Design Management.
5. Required Criteria Key Skills
  1. 22 years of experience – Ability to demonstrate major projects experience (design and build) at a complex project management level.
  2. Preferably a Chartered Structural / Civil Engineer and/or Project Management accreditation.
  3. Strong experience in project delivery coordination.
  4. Integration and package management (through supply chains).
  5. Complex stakeholder and interface management experience.
  6. Strong coordination backbone.
  7. Ability to operate in fast-paced environments while maintaining clear decision making.
  8. Able to process schedule requirements and report on progress and challenges.
  9. Good at focused listening and finding common ground.
  10. Gathering and synthesising information to provide relevant information to stakeholders.
  11. Defining and prioritising objectives and strategies.
