Our client is seeking an R&D Engineer with a foundational background in engineering and medical devices to support the development of point-of-care diagnostics and assist with the lab's daily administrative tasks. The ideal candidate should be a team player, quick to learn, and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in at least one of the following areas: Use 3D CAD design tools and perform high-precision 3D printing (FDM & DLP). Work with basic microcontroller boards like Arduino, ESP32, or STM32 to create simple circuit boards for sensor control and data acquisition. Test and assemble electronic and mechanical components, and debug software using tools like Python or C++. Assist with maintaining laboratory inventory and handle administrative tasks (procurement, preventive maintenance and repairs of equipment, and safety issues). Be enthusiastic, highly motivated, and capable of multitasking, with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Manage administrative tasks, including ordering and payments using the SAP system. Requirements Diploma, Higher Nitec, or Nitec in Bioengineering, Biophysics, Physics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields. Basic experience with 3D CAD design software, such as SolidWorks and Fusion 360. Familiarity with microcontroller boards like Arduino, ESP32, and STM32. Basic skills in handling simple electronics and hands-on soldering. Previous experience or interest in administrative tasks, including raising purchase orders, payment requests, arranging preventive maintenance for equipment, and coordinating with vendors.
