The world of esports/gaming is growing and so are we! We are now in search of adept individuals seasoned experts in Marketing and Strategy to join our ranks as our Consumer Marketing Manager for the MENA region. As the gaming and esports realm continues its remarkable ascent, we are growing in stride. A missing element beckons for attention: Acting as the voice of the customer, the Marketing team is poised to champion the voice of the fans and players to ignite a customer-centric approach and become a strategic growth engine. In the dynamic realm of esports marketing, you, as the Consumer Marketing Manager MENA, will lead our three-year customer marketing strategy. Your role involves driving comprehensive campaigns for ESL/DH brands to boost event popularity, ticket sales, and digital viewership. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Planning and executing cross-media campaigns.
  2. Aligning with various teams.
  3. Building strategic stakeholder relationships.
  4. Working cross-functionally with global teams.
  5. Creating and managing marketing materials.
  6. Overseeing students and freelancers.
  7. Reporting on campaign performance, consumer engagement, and business impact.
  8. Ensuring effective budget and media planning.
What you will be doing:
  1. Drive marketing campaigns to reach our current and future fans, covering all of ESL/DH products and brands.
  2. Concept, plan, implement, execute, and report on cross-media consumer campaigns to drive popularity, attendance, ticket sales, and digital viewership of our worldwide events.
  3. Drive general popularity, awareness, and sentiment of our brands with consumer audiences.
  4. Communicate and align the campaigns with other teams: Product, Comms, Event, and Leadership.
  5. Develop and cultivate key strategic relationships with stakeholders including players, influencers, teams, venues, partners, agencies, and other third-party service providers.
  6. Integrate marketing plans and storytelling with product brands and event productions.
  7. Create campaigns to engage existing and future fans with our brands and products.
  8. Create, produce, and manage marketing materials.
  9. Brief departments, freelancers, and agencies with their scopes of work.
  10. Run task and campaign management, and media planning.
  11. Work closely with other departments to implement campaigns into the products.
Management responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the work of working students and trainees, as well as oversee the work of freelancers and agencies.
  2. Report on campaigns, engagement, business impact, and consumer KPIs.
  3. Gather qualitative feedback from customers in purchase reports/experiences.
  4. Maintain reports of reach, impact, conversion of driven campaigns and consumer communication.
  5. Ensure a well-shared set of marketing materials.
  6. Keep content, budget, and media plans up-to-date.
About you:
  1. Good knowledge of media consumption behavior and content marketing.
  2. Excellent copywriting skills in the English language.
  3. Good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  4. Ability to plan and follow through with digital marketing, content planning, and measuring campaigns.
  5. Good knowledge of consumer analytics and audience segmentation.
  6. Good knowledge of the esports content offerings across multiple game titles.
Personal skills:
  1. Highly independent, self-motivated work style.
  2. High curiosity to find the right channels, voice, and campaigns for multiple audiences.
  3. Excellent communication skills to sync across departments, geographies, and cultures that work on the campaign.

Desired Candidate Profile

Profile:
  1. 3+ years experience in marketing or agency work.
  2. A bilingual (or C1 as a minimum) level of English and Arabic is a MUST.
  3. Track record of running integrated media campaigns and producing creatives.
  4. Experience working with other creative teams, content producers, media agencies, product management, and external stakeholders.
  5. Experience working with younger audiences in a digital space, best-case esports/gaming, or entertainment/sports.
