As a designer, you will lead efforts to create intuitive, impactful, and user-centered solutions that address the diverse needs of our users. We are firm believers in continual learning. What you will be working on As a senior member of the team you will primarily be responsible for planning, specifying and leading the design work for the product or project. You may be tasked with planning and managing the work of more junior designers. As an experienced UX Designer, you will: Maintain a strategic outlook on the product/program, ensuring that all deliverables are aligned with the organisational goals and strategy. Lead efforts in driving strategic design initiatives that drive organisation goals forward. Coordinate and plan discovery work, including user interviews, workshops, surveys, usability testing, and gathering insights to understand user needs and pain points. Lead the work to analyse research findings into actionable insights. Lead work to create wireframes, user flows, and prototypes using tools like Figma. Lead the work with design teams to create low- and high-fidelity prototypes for testing concepts with real users, gathering feedback to iterate on solutions. Drive the iterative efforts to improve on designs based on feedback from users, stakeholders, and the design team. Partner with product managers, developers, and marketing teams to ensure that the designs are aligned with business objectives and technical constraints. We have a vibrant design community in GovTech and as a member of the community, you may also be asked to: Lead the work on design initiatives to benefit the entire design community. Pilot new design initiatives or tools in your work. Actively seek out new ways and methods to improve your fellow designers’ efficiency, effectiveness and craft. Actively contribute to learning and sharing sessions between fellow designers. Be a member of the community that less experienced designers aspire to be. Take steps to improve yourself in a personal and professional capacity. Actively note areas of improvement and propose changes for the benefit of all designers. What we are looking for Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in industrial design, human-computer interaction (HCI), graphic design, design research or a related field (or equivalent experience). At least 8 years of experience in UX/UI design, internships, or freelance work. Good with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC, or similar. Strategic thinker and a proven ability to drive strategic initiatives in your work. Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Proven ability to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders and leadership. Good understanding of user research methods and the ability to analyse data to inform design decisions. Familiarity with usability testing and gathering feedback to improve design quality. Good communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and persuasively. Strong analytical thinking with attention to detail and ability to handle ambiguity. Strong empathy for users and a desire to advocate for their needs.
