Job Description:As a Professional Services Consultant (PSC) you will provide deployment, configuration, and operational services for our customers relating to Palo Alto Networks products. You will function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) teaming with a Project Manager to interact directly with the customer's project team to facilitate the consumption and adoption of our products and capabilities. During the execution of each project you will also utilize soft skills to guide the customer to make decisions on how to use our products in a way consistent with our best practices and make them more secure. The PSC contributes to the internal Professional Services team in the development of new principles and concepts, works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious. This is a highly technical, hands-on role and you will be required to develop and maintain an expertise on the Palo Alto Network products and solutions commensurate with your skillset, goals and in collaboration with your manager.Job Role & ResponsibilitiesEnsure client needs are met and deliverables produced on time according to specified project deliverables/scopeAssist the customer to deploy, optimize and operationalize our NGFW security solutions into their networksProvide guidance to our customers on how to integrate our products into their operational workflows and networks following best practice-based methodologies.Proactively identify and communicate project status, risks and issues with the Professional Services Project ManagerInteract with TAC to troubleshoot and diagnose support casesAbility to document and template necessary documentation packages for customers as definedAbility to work on a team or lead a team depending upon the specified projectAbility to provide complex solutions in customer environments and execute/document said solutions by self or as a team leaderOther tasks and duties as needed to support the customer and/or businessThe candidate is expected to comply with the company's policies and procedures.Required SkillsMinimum 8 years' experience with enterprise security products, solutions, and technologiesExtensive experience With Cisco, Checkpoint, Fortinet or Juniper Firewalls. Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls is mandatory. PCNSE Certification is required.Experience migrating other vendors to Palo Alto using either Expedition or Automation is required.Strong expertise in Python automationMinimum 3 years' experience managing security solutions in large environmentsStrong knowledge of the enterprise security threat landscapeStrong understanding of Internet protocols and applicationsDetailed technical experience in the deployment, configuration, troubleshooting and operations of high-end firewall appliances, ideally Palo Alto Networks productsAbility to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally.Aptitude to effectively juggle and manage many different tasks simultaneouslyRelevant industry certifications such as PCNSE, CISSP, CCNA, CNSE, JNCIE-SECBS in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent education/training/experience
