What you'll do: The position of Principal Delivery Lead will be a part of the Enterprise Services IT Organization working on HMH's mission critical multi-year project for modernizing our business systems and associated business processes called "Next Gen". This role is responsible for managing the relationship between the development teams, business, and our Next Gen System's Integrator partner for translating business capability requirements into effective development plans and deliveries for Legacy Remediation, Data and Analytics, and Systems Integration project workstreams. This role's duties entail the following: Manage delivery of IT development for our technical workstreams in partnership with business and Next Gen's Systems Integrator partner.Manage and communicate new capabilities released and understand their impact on the user community.Collaborate with Business Process Owners and Leads, providing technology input to the product idea and vision and prioritization while assessing the impact on resources and deliverables.Collaborate with other technical teams to discuss, plan, and execute technical activities to remediate downstream systems.Collaborate with application owners to build out environment plans to support development and testing activities.Build and support great agile teams, ensuring excellence and efficiency in team staffing, process, and tools.Work with all teams to make, track, report, and fulfill planning commitments.Empower team and clear potential roadblocks, paving the way for project success.Responsible for the implementation delivery and quality, from architecture through end user experience.Own and manage cross-team technical dependencies.Jointly responsible with Product Managers and Owners for the planning and delivery of a high-quality product that meets business and user needs.Manage assigned budget in partnership with Program Manager. What you'll need: Minimum 10 years of experience with a direct responsibility for executing strategic roadmaps.Bachelor's degree in business, information systems or related discipline, or equivalent and extensive related project experience.Experience developing and monitoring delivery of efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems.Experience working in digital transformation projects either as a program/project manager or Delivery Lead.Experience managing Data Driven and/or systems integration projects.Experience with Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid methodologies as well as strong Jira knowledge/skills.Proven ability to work in a multi-disciplinary and fast pace environment. Comfortable with quickly changing priorities and a high level of adaptability and flexibility.Be ready to take initiative with a continuous improvement mind-set.Detailed oriented and ability to learn and work independently. Preferred but not necessary: skills/education/experience/working knowledge Experience in standing up or managing Systems Integration technologies (either open source or commercial).Experience in Data Management Practices, Governance or standing up Data related centers of excellence.Experience in building out and managing environment plans.
