Software Architect

For an international organisation with a unique product, we are looking for a Software Architect.Responsibilities:Designing and overseeing the overall software architecture to ensure alignment with research objectives and seamless integration with existing systems.Ensuring that the newly developed software architecture aligns with the broader enterprise architecture, coordinating closely with the IT architecture team to facilitate integration.Collaborating with researchers and key stakeholders to understand software requirements, translating them into detailed technical specifications for the development team.Identifying and evaluating appropriate technologies and tools for software solutions, with a focus on scalability, security, and compatibility with current systems.Developing prototypes or proof-of-concept models to validate proposed solutions and demonstrate core functionalities to stakeholders.Working in close partnership with departments such as Engineering, IT, and Projects to ensure smooth integration with hardware components.Ensuring that software systems adhere to industry standards, security protocols, and relevant regulatory requirements.Designing scalable software architecture and optimizing performance to meet the demands of complex research initiatives.Creating detailed documentation for the software architecture, design decisions, and related processes.Within this role, you will be working in the Research, Development, and Innovations team of this company. You will be designing and leading the development of innovative software solutions. You will test, implement, and optimize the newest technologies like robotics, digital twins, and IoT. Your solutions will be used to optimize internal processes related to the design, engineering, and manufacturing of the unique products of this company.On a daily basis, you will be designing software architecture that is in alignment with the company's goals, ensuring perfect integration with other systems. You will identify and research new technologies and tools for software solutions, develop prototypes, and ensure that all software systems comply with industry and government standards and security protocols.Are you looking for a diverse and dynamic role within a prosperous company and want to help work on a unique product? Don't hesitate and reach out!Minimum Requirements:A Bachelor Degree in IT or another relevant study with strong IT components.At least 3 years of relevant working experience.Good experience in designing systems and software.Proficient in multiple programming languages and frameworks like C++, C#, and Python.A deep understanding of software design patterns.Knowledge of different architectural styles like Microservices and Monolithic.A good understanding of security best practices and the ability to design secure systems.Experience in integrating systems and third-party services.Professional working level in the English language and preferably also the Dutch language (Written & Verbal).Permanent EU citizenship and passport.Compensation:A monthly salary between €5200 - €6250 based on a 40-hour week (depends on your experience).Holiday allowance: 8.33% of your gross yearly salary.Holiday days: 38 days.Traveling compensation: 23 cent/kilometer (maximum of €300 per month).Training opportunities.
