What's involved with this role: Interim Property Manager Bristol 5260078 Skills & Experience:
- Proven work experience as property manager.
- Knowledge of property management and its financial aspects.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel and work an unpredictable schedule.
- Provide professional and technical advice on property related matters to Council officers, stakeholders, and members of the public.
- To include advice on compliance with legislation, policy and best practice.
- Contribute towards the gathering of information, monitoring and reporting on data in relation to the property estate. To include the inspection, measurement and valuation of property as required.
- Negotiate legal agreements for the use of land and property by third parties on behalf of the council and to negotiate agreements where the council will be a tenant of a third party. Including negotiating rent reviews, assignments, surrenders etc.
- Undertake a property management role for operational assets leased to third parties.
- Work as part of project teams on property reviews / rationalisation.
- Implement operational land and property related transactions in order to optimise service delivery, capital receipts, revenue returns and to minimise the overall cost to the Council of the operational property portfolio.
- Adhere to and maintain up to date knowledge of best practice and policy as set out by the RICS and other relevant external professional bodies.
