This role will be part of our Singapore Tech Hub team, as a new start up organization, you will work with tech leads to mature advanced power electronic technologies, accelerate the industrialization process, and make an impact to the future EV business. We need your expertise to deliver amazing new technologies to revolutionize the EV industry. What you'll do Formulate advanced power electronic concepts for EV propulsion applications and design proof-of-concept hardware prototypes and demonstrate the business values; Working with team leads, identify business case for emerging power electronic technologies in EV propulsion field and mature the technology readiness for industrialization; Derive hierarchical design specifications from vehicle level down to component level and accordingly down-select components needed in the power converter; Perform PLECS simulation over various load profiles and derive the switching characteristics, efficiency map, and EMI behaviours of the power converter. Experience with SPICE simulations is a plus. Set up and perform extensive hardware experiments including double-pulse test, open loop and closed loop test to validate advanced power electronic concepts; Horizon-scanning for emerging power electronic technologies and products to increase the power density and efficiency of power converters while minimizing the cost; Prepare technical documentation and presentations for progress update and gate reviews. What you'll bring Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering with 5+ years’ experience working with power electronic converters. PhD holders in power electronic field with less experience will also be considered; Sound knowledge with power electronic circuits including gate driver, current sensor, EMI filters, isolated power supplies etc; Sound knowledge with AC/DC and DC/DC power converter topologies such as two level and multi-level, isolated and non-isolated etc; Sound knowledge with double pulse tests, open loop test and closed loop test of power converters; Fluent with simulation tools including SPICE, PLECS and PSIM, experience with Ansys EM tool is a plus; Good experience with PCB design in Altium Designer and the PCB fabrication process, IPC certification being a plus; Good spoken and written skills; Candidates with higher qualifications will be considered for senior positions.
