Position Overview: As the Head of IT at our leading experiential event management agency, you will drive the technology strategy and ensure our IT infrastructure aligns with business goals. This role demands overseeing IT operations, implementing cutting-edge technologies, and ensuring robust systems that support our event production and corporate functions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic IT Leadership:
  • Lead all aspects of technology operations, aligning them with the agency’s strategic objectives.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies and systems that support the implementation of management strategies.
  • Regularly evaluate technology operations against established goals to ensure efficiency and security.
  • Standards and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with international standards such as ISO 9001:2015, ISO 20121:2012, and ISO/IEC 27001:2013.
  • Manage and maintain SOC 2 Type II certification processes, ensuring all data management and security controls are effective and up-to-date.
  • Systems Management and Optimization:
  • Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee the security of all IT systems, implementing disaster recovery plans and backup procedures.
  • Technology Planning and Implementation:
  • Recommend IT strategies by evaluating organizational outcomes; adjust strategies to cater to technological advancements and competitive demands.
  • Analyze departmental technology needs and lead IT projects across multiple business units.
  • Budget and Resource Management:
  • Manage the IT budget, control expenditures, and ensure cost-effective procurement of technological equipment and software.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
  • Keep abreast of the latest in IT advancements, particularly in event technology, to drive innovation within the agency.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of IT experience, with substantial leadership roles, preferably in an event management or related industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management Systems), ISO 20121:2012 (Event Sustainability Management Systems), and ISO/IEC 27001:2013 (Information Security Management Systems).
  • Proven track record in managing SOC 2 Type II compliance.
  • Strong experience with Office 365 and any one or more of project management tools such as Asana, ClickUp, or Jira.
  • Experience in CRM implementations and Salesforce integrations is a plus.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of leading a diverse IT team and collaborating with other departments.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to anticipate potential challenges and develop proactive solutions.
  • Adept at conducting thorough technology analyses and cost evaluations to guide significant investment decisions.
