Intermediate / Senior Accountant

I am currently working on behalf of a prestigious boutique Accountancy Practice in Palmerston North. They are on the lookout for an Intermediate / Senior Accountant to join their close-knit team. As an Accountant, you will have ownership and maintain a varied portfolio of clients across the commercial sector. This role is ideal for someone who is qualified or pursuing CA but enjoys a healthy well-defined work/life balance and autonomy within a friendly and collaborative team environment. 1. Managing a portfolio of clients via phone, face-to-face meetings, and emails
2. Conducting GST / FBT / PAYE and RW returns/payments
3. Conducting reconciliations and financial statements
4. Advising on Business Strategy, Performance Improvement, Risk Management

1. Relevant Business Advisory experience in a public practice environment
2. A focus on people and relationships
3. Strong analytical skills with an eagerness to learn, grow, and progress
4. NZ / Australian citizenship or NZ Perm Residency
5. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
6. Ability to use Xero (or similar software)
