Our team values creativity, innovation, and an empathetic understanding of user needs. We’re looking for a contract-based UI/UX Developer who can translate design vision into intuitive interfaces and interactions, enhancing our platform’s usability and aesthetic appeal. Role Summary: As a Contract UI/UX Developer, you will collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to implement engaging, user-friendly web interfaces. You will translate high-level requirements and wireframes into polished, interactive prototypes and production-ready code. This position requires strong attention to detail, a keen sense of visual design, and the technical expertise to ensure that our interfaces not only look great but also perform seamlessly across devices. Key Responsibilities:

  • Interface Development: Implement responsive, mobile-first web interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks, ensuring compatibility across various browsers and devices.
  • UX Implementation: Translate UX research, user flows, and wireframes into functional prototypes. Collaborate with designers to refine interactions, animations, and micro-interactions for optimal usability.
  • Design Integration: Work closely with UI/UX designers to understand style guides, pattern libraries, and brand guidelines. Ensure pixel-perfect execution of design deliverables.
  • Performance & Accessibility: Optimize front-end code for performance, ensuring fast load times and smooth interactions. Implement accessibility best practices (WCAG standards) to make our product accessible to all users.
  • Collaboration: Partner with backend engineers to integrate UI components with APIs and data sources. Participate in cross-functional design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and QA testing.
  • Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback on best UI/UX practices, contribute to design system enhancements, and stay current with emerging front-end technologies and design trends.
Qualifications:
  • Education & Experience:
  • Proven experience as a UI/UX Developer (or front-end developer with a strong UX focus), preferably in a contract or freelance capacity.
  • A portfolio showcasing responsive web projects and interactive user interfaces.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (Sass or Less), and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular).
  • Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and the ability to translate design files into clean code.
  • Understanding of UX principles, user-centered design, and accessibility best practices.
  • Knowledge of build tools (Webpack, Gulp) and version control (Git).
  • Preferred Experience:
  • Experience working with design systems, style guides, and pattern libraries.
  • Knowledge of front-end performance optimization techniques.
  • Understanding of responsive and adaptive design principles, including mobile-first development.
Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with designers, developers, and stakeholders.
  • A keen eye for detail, with a focus on delivering a polished, intuitive user experience.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and meet project deadlines with minimal supervision.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive hourly or project-based compensation.
  • Flexible work environment with the possibility of remote work.
  • Collaborative team environment where your contributions have a direct impact on product success.
  • Opportunities to extend the contract or transition into longer-term engagements based on performance and business needs.
  • If you’re passionate about crafting beautiful, user-centric interfaces and want to make a tangible impact on our product’s user experience, we encourage you to apply. Join us on this contract and help shape the future of Applied Bell Curve!
