Senior Project Architect (Design)

Key Responsibilities Taking the conceptual design through to implementation and handover; Ensure that all design is in compliance with local authorities’ code; Ensuring sustainability targets are incorporated into the design; Production of tender documentation, including project specifications and contract schedules such as Summary of Tender and Schedule of Rates; Progressing the design in accordance with the Design Checklist; Chairing sub-contractor progress meetings; Chairing Architectural Department Client weekly Meetings; Liaising with Quality Assurance / Quality Compliance engineers to ensure alignment of supervision goals with specification requirements; In the absence of a Lead Architect, the Senior Architect shall assume the role and responsibilities assigned to the Lead Architect position; Mentoring of an Architect with the intent of securing properly trained personnel to ensure the continual expansion of the company; Ensuring Architectural System Supervisor is provided with the current approved plans and shop drawings; Ensuring Architectural System Supervisor is fully briefed on the awarded scope of work, the tender technical documents and all contractual revisions to tender documentation. Other Duties To promote safe working practices and to protect the health and wellbeing of Employees, Sub-contractors and customers; To undertake the assigned work scope in a professional and responsible manner; To protect the interests of the company; The role could vary between pricing, design, construction, commissioning, through to final acceptance; Ad hoc duties as determined by management.
