Technical Writer

ROLE: Technical Writer x 2 DURATION: 12 Months min LOCATION: Fully Remote Our client, a global organisation is looking for 2 x Technical Writers on a long-term contract to enhance its technical documentation capabilities with the primary focus on supporting their product by ensuring comprehensive and accurate technical documentation , including in- depth explanations, sample code blocks, API references, FAQs and related content. The successful candidate will have the following experience:

• Ability to read and understand code and related comments, enabling the writer to accurately capture technical processes and functionalities.
• Familiarity with software development concepts, practices, and tools (e.g. Github) to ensure documentation is precise and relevant.
• Basic coding knowledge to facilitate collaboration with developers and improve the quality of documentation. Preference to Kotlin, Swift and JavaScript/React.
• Capability to make modifications to release notes, ensuring they are understandable to a broader audience.
• Familiarity with cloud-based CMS and other authoring tools to collaborate with the organization.
• Experience with writing/editing Markdown and Ascii Docs formats.
• Experience with creating, updating, and following tickets in Jira or Hive. This includes tracking progress, following up on it, and sometimes executing the proposed solutions.
