What you will be doing as a Plant Manager in Ayvalik Plant: The core focus of the role is to lead the people and to handle equipment, logistics, and expenses associated with multiple packaging lines, the warehousing of packaged product, and the transportation of product to the customers from the facility to the edible oils' market. You will have a strong understanding of how each production process works and be ready to implement changes as necessary. This will be done through the following activities:
- Ensures that production goals are met and that the plant operates in a profitable and safe fashion.
- Maintain a clean and safe plant by providing an injury-free work environment for employees, staff, contractors, and visitors.
- Initiate plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of workforce, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
- Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure that the facility supports Bunge’s central initiatives.
- Establish group and individual accountabilities throughout all plant departments for safety leadership, problem solving, and cost reduction.
- Ensure the accurate planning, design, and implementation of capital and expense projects consistent with site strategy.
- Assure that employee relations are led optimally and with respect and care.
- Participates in annual business planning and budgeting.
- Higher education with a major preferably in Engineering or Technical field. Master’s degree in business preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of management and supervisory experience in plant operations with a minimum of 5 years in the edible oil industry.
- Proficiency in financial matters is significant to be successful in this role.
- Ability to cultivate positive relationships and networks, optimally influence others, and develop by working closely with all business functions.
- Strong leadership skills, independent thinking, strong interpersonal and planning abilities, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Excellent English skills are a must and SAP knowledge would be advantageous.
