An established educational institution is seeking an experienced CA or CPA Management Accountant professional. Your new company A local, well-established educational institution is seeking a CA or CPA Management Accountant on a full-time, ongoing basis to operate out of their Townsville location. They offer hybrid working arrangements along with an attractive remuneration package and above-market superannuation contributions. Your new role As the Management Accountant, you will manage budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes to ensure consistency and enable effective decision-making. Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Providing professional and accurate financial management services to support the budgeting and forecasting processes, delivering timely and realistic financial projections that align with agreed strategies and priorities.
  • Driving continuous improvements in finance processes and contributing to the development of the finance team and efficient processes.
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of key financial performance metrics, ensuring appropriate methodology and reporting frameworks are in place to communicate these results.
  • Maintaining data integrity through proactive analysis, interpretation, and reporting of actual financials against performance targets, presenting these results to key stakeholders in a manner suitable to the audience.
What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this position, you will be a CA or CPA qualified accountant and ideally demonstrate the following:
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate the information needs of management, identify key issues, evaluate outcomes, and provide relevant and value-adding advice and analysis incorporating financial and non-financial information.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to produce quality commentary on findings.
  • A high regard for process and a diligent approach to your work.
  • Demonstrated high-level verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to maintain highly effective working relationships, including the ability to negotiate, consult, and liaise with staff at all levels.
